My yogurt expires
after I leave.
The reality of this whole experience coming to an end hits
me more and more every day. It’s especially evident in my sleeping habits; my
body is confused about which time zone it is supposed to be in. Right now, I
would get the most normal nights rest if I lived in the middle of the Atlantic
Ocean. Maybe within the next couple of weeks I’ll creep back to Iowa time on my
own so I won’t have to worry about jet lag.
I have officially gone into “cherish it” mode. There are so many
lasts coming up in the next two weeks (I’m really hoping tomorrow will be the
last time I have to do laundry here…we’ll see how that goes). It’s weird to
think that I can count on one hand how many more days I have left with some of
my friends. Tim and Michelle have ever so kindly pointed out that some moments
I pause to cherish are actually firsts – i.e. attending a Ke$ha themed party... Gah, enough sappy sap already though, I still have three finals, two weeks, and
a lot more crepes/Nandos to eat before I get all sobby on you… But speaking of
a Ke$ha themed party, there was a Ke$ha themed party this weekend. Good
transition eh? Ha please forgive me, I am writing this at 3 am!
Last night I was able to take a break from my revision and
attend Tyler’s Ke$ha inspired going away party. It was just as much fun getting
ready for the party as it was going to the party (Tim might have enjoyed the
theme a little TOO much). I think the pictures speak for themselves. Today I
continued my break by ordering tickets to see Harry Potter Studios as a treat
for when I get done with exams, watching the highly anticipated Olympic torch
come through Exeter, and tie dying t-shirts.
I have attached pictures...I should probably be heading to sleep so I can actually revise tomorrow! Hope all is well at home! Can't wait to be reunited with all of you!
